Painting the Roses Red, About the Author
Lewis Carroll, born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, lived from January 27, 1832 to January 14 1898. He was born in Daresbury, Cheshire. “Cheshire” is the name of the cat in one of his most famous works, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Carroll was a mathematician, writer, photographer, and deacon; so to say he wore many hats was an understatement. He later studied at Oxford where he met Alice Liddell. Carroll felt inspired to write the story upon meeting Liddell. He is also known for, "Through the Looking glass," the sequel to Alice in Wonderland.
About myself: I am a 23 year student at California Baptist University majoring in public relations. I am graduating this May. At CBU I have worked on all three award-winning publications: The Banner Newspaper as a writer, Angelos Yearbook as co-index editor and section editor, as well as being the fashion/trends editor for Pursuit Magazine. Currently I serve as president for CBU’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter (PRSSA) as well as being public relations director for the J@CBU program. I enjoy writing, watching films, walking my dogs, singing, music, shopping, and most important to me—spending time with my loved ones. I have a very outgoing personality; I am social and enjoy surrounding myself with the company of others.
